Present Your Work in the Ruby

The Rubenstein Arts Center is now accepting proposals for its arts project program and Ruby Friday speaker series for Fall 2020!

Arts Project Program

One of the Ruby’s core missions is to provide dedicated space for student and faculty artists to create new work, collaborate, and engage with the wider Duke community and Durham. To that end, we invite individual artists or teams working in any medium to apply for an arts project. Duke community members and independent artists are invited to apply.

New for 2020–2021! Projects that connect to issues of climate change and environmental justice will receive special consideration.

We are now accepting proposals for September 2020 through July 2021. The deadline for fall proposals is Saturday, April 12. Fall 2020 projects will be awarded by June 1. Spring proposals will be considered at this time, but confirmed at a later date.

Ruby Fridays

The Rubenstein Arts Center invites proposals for its weekly casual art talk and lunch series, Ruby Fridays. We are seeking insight into the creative process, which may include behind-the-scenes perspectives into completed projects or scholarship. Duke Arts and Rubenstein Arts Center staff take care of all logistics, including A/V, catering, and marketing, making this an excellent opportunity to plug into an existing platform to share your work!
