Description

Celebrate the opening of this exciting new exhibit on view in the Ruby’s gallery through January 24, 2020. The Art of Mental Health is curated by Melissa Miller, together with a team of other clinical psychologists, and is supported via the Rubenstein Arts Center’s arts project program.

This community exhibit of artwork by local artists is an invitation to contemplate mental health and wellness. Maintaining our mental health is a lifelong process that requires intentional effort reflecting both science and art. The works on view were selected from over forty submissions to an open call for art issued in August.

Light refreshments and appetizers will be served.

Featured image: Jade Wu’s piece, Blue Stallion, is a testament to how experimenting with watercolors helped her to let go of control and accept uncertainty, both artistically and emotionally.
