Description

Light Your Own Dance Party!

This workshop is geared to anyone interested in learning more about theatrical lighting, music and dancing! Participants will be introduced to basic lighting concepts and color mixing principles of light. Each participant will choose a piece of music and design lighting cues to go along with it for the main event! The workshop will culminate in a Dance Party open to all starting at 7:00 PM featuring the music and lighting of workshop participants.

Instructor Information: These workshops will be led with Theatre Operations staff and students. Theatre Operations staff has worked all across the country in various capacities in lighting design in various venues. We are excited to bring a new approach and opportunity for Duke students to learn about theatrical lighting concepts in a fun and interactive way.
