Description: Join Kathryn Mathers, associate professor of the practice in International Comparative Studies and Cultural Anthropology at Duke University, and curator of the upcoming photo exhibit in the Ruby: When I Say Africa: Photographs from the Continent. Mathers will discuss the motivations and process behind this exhibit that seeks to change American and mainstream media perceptions of Africans, and how this photo exhibit relates to the forthcoming film, When I Say Africa.
